WHY NO BEACH STAKE?

We’ve tested the Solo Strap with many, many different types of sand stakes and anchors. In ALL cases we have deemed that these products do not work in a consistently safe manner. User error, varies beach makeup, varying wind and also different kite shaped and sizes mean we cannot provide a suitable sand anchor with our straps.

WHICH STRAP VERSION

The original ‘Hands Solo’ strap is the go to launching and landing strap for everyone. It’s what we have all carried in our kite bags for the last few years. Feedback over the last 12 months has lead us to develop the ‘Only One’ version of the strap which has a little extra safety clip to allow releasing of the chicken loop in emergency. Some might like this one too, the choice is yours. Both are awesome.

BUNGEE WITH A PURPOSE

We’ve developed the tension in our straps by prototyping in 10 – 35 knots winds, anchoring to fence posts, bull bars, coconut palms, sand bags & even driftwood.

HIGHLY VISIBLE COLOURS

The bright orange ‘Hand Solo’ & fluro green of the ‘Only One’ straps make them both easy to find in your kit bag and also to spot on the beach when coming in to land.

WATER RESISTANT COATING

Our super strong webbing is coated in a water resistant film to minimise deterioration in the sun and water. This should also reduce colour fading by the sun.

‘Only One’

THE ‘ONLY ONE’ DUAL CARABINER SOLO-STRAP

The ‘Only One’ version of our strap comes with a second smaller clip to attach to your kites safety ring. This allows for a rapid release of the kite in an emergency while still maintaining a ‘safety leash’ type attachment to your kite. Recommended for people who might like to keep their kite tethered to the strap for a while. e.g. taking a rest, kite schools, competition areas where people want a few kites pumped and ready to grab should the conditions change.
